Title: Digital Marketing Manager APAC
tl;dr
I worked for 4 years for CBRE Asia Pacific during which I was responsible for creation, implementation and maintenance of a variety of external & internal digital products. I worked on diverse projects, ranging from micro-websites promoting real estate projects to large scale CMS migration projects. In addition I managed 1 direct report and coordinated work with all other junior staff in the APAC region. Previous titles include Coordinator and Senior Coordinator Digital Marketing APAC.
Background
CBRE Group is a Fortune 500 company, one of the "Big 4" global commercial real estate services companies. Based in Hong Kong my team was responsible for a variety of digital products:
1. 11 Corporate websites (Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Korea, New Zealand, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand & Vietnam).
2. Promotional mini-websites & landing pages.
3. Online real estate listings platforms (regional & local, commercial & residential property).
4. A proprietary tablet presentation app.
5. Local & regional intranet solutions.
Corporate Websites
When I first joined in 2014, CBRE's corporate website ran individual content management systems (CMS); mostly SharePoint 2010. My first migration project was the CBRE Taiwan corporate website. I coordinated and executed the platform upgrade from SharePoint 2007 to SharePoint 2010 and trained on-site staff to maintain the website.

In 2016 CBRE decided to unify and modernize all of its corporate websites onto a single platform: Sitecore. For the Asia Pacific region, I coordinated the migration and delivery of 9 multi-lingual websites from SharePoint 2010 to Sitecore using Telerik Kendo UI. During this project I coordinated with local Marketing & Communications teams and partnered closely with senior leadership. I was also responsible for location specific development and design implementations for the Australia and New Zealand websites. In addition to technical and visual upgrades, we worked together with local industry experts to optimize the website's content to suit local markets.
Micro-Websites & Landing Pages
Besides the corporate websites, I was also responsible for the creation of landing pages and micro-websites promoting CBRE's Research and International Property Marketing. Working together with CBRE APAC's design team and Regional Creative Director (Joel Savitzky, at the time), we devised and implemented a workflow for landing-page production, setting a new standard for the company globally. On occasion, I would also create themed websites for internal use, highlighting a project or a department.
Intranet
In 2016 CBRE launched a global initiative to unify the company's fragmented intranet sites onto a single platform. The new platform was built on SharePoint 2013, using Bootstrap for the UI. I coordinated the intranet migration and upgrade with local and regional stakeholders.
As part of my remit, I led CBRE Japan's intranet upgrade, reviewing and unifying 2 local internal intranet platforms. Acting as the digital liaison for both our local Japan stakeholders as well as our global partners, I was able to successfully deliver a unified, yet localized intranet experience for our Japan offices.
The key to this successful delivery was securing concessions from our global team, allowing us to implement an alternate typeface specifically for the Japanese business catering to logographic text. This enabled us to render the Japanese writing system (Kanji, Katakana and Hiragana) in a unified and modern font.
